Program Officer, Cambodia

Sokvutheavy (Theavy) Ye is a program officer in the Environment unit in Cambodia. She collaborates with relevant consultants on project implementation, 3RproMar, local budgeting at the subnational level, and waste management. Theavy is also actively involved in strategic development concerning environmental issues and climate change.

In addition to her role at The Asia Foundation, Theavy is a member of the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance, where she coordinates climate finance efforts and works with various line ministries and development partners to strategically address climate change issues. She joined the USAID Greening Prey Lang initiative in 2019, dedicating her efforts to the preservation and conservation of the Prey Lang Extended Landscape, CBOs management, and coordination with relevant line ministries.

Throughout her career, Theavy has actively engaged in numerous volunteer projects, from local to international initiatives, focused on raising awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals, fundraising, resource mobilization, and capacity building.

Education: Theavy is pursuing a master’s degree in Public Policy at the University of Cambodia and holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from BELTEI International University.
