Website Content Migration, Contractor 

Position Summary 

The Asia Foundation seeks a detail-oriented contractor to support website content migration and quality assurance during its new website final build and go-live phases, scheduled for September 2026. This is a short-term, remote, execution-focused engagement supporting a high-volume institutional web transition. Working under the supervision of the web manager within the strategic communications team, the contractor will support content entry, formatting, and quality assurance across multiple webpages and regional content streams. The assignment is expected to run for approximately six to eight weeks. 

Scope of Work and Key Responsibilities 

Under the supervision of the web manager, the contractor will support the following activities:  

Content Migration  

  • Transfer approved content into the new WordPress content management system (CMS) using provided page templates and formatting standards
  • Upload and format text, images, and related media assets
  • Ensure content is accurately mapped from legacy webpages to new URLs according to the project redirect inventory
  • Identify and flag outdated content, formatting inconsistencies, or content gaps for review

Quality Assurance 

  • Conduct structured page-by-page question and answer against a provided checklist  
  • Review copy accuracy, links, images, metadata, and mobile rendering
  • Test redirect rules and report broken links using provided tools
  • Document issues and updates clearly within the shared project tracker spreadsheet

Qualifications 

Required 

  • Demonstrated experience with WordPress CMS (content entry, basic formatting, media uploads)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow structured checklists and document issues clearly
  • Comfortable working with a small team across different time zones
  • Experience supporting website migrations or digital content projects

Preferred 

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices for NGOs

Time Commitment  

The assignment is expected to require approximately five days per week across the contract period of six to eight weeks. This role does not include: 

  1. Developing content
  2. Full-time or long-term staff responsibilities

Compensation  

The compensation will be commensurate with experience. Payment structure and schedule will be finalized upon selection.
