Peer-To-Peer Fundraising
As one of our biggest advocates and supporters, you can assist us in achieving our fundraising goals by spreading the word about The Asia Foundation. If you are interested in raising funds for one of our campaigns or sharing a personal story about your connection to The Asia Foundation’s mission, you can customize a fundraising page and rally your friends and colleagues to expand opportunities and improve lives in Asia!
Using our user-friendly form builder, you can start raising money and share your progress. Your peer-to-peer fundraising campaign can take the form of a walkathon, challenge, memorial tribute, or even a silent auction. We welcome your creativity and innovation.
- Find the program, country office, or event you’d like to support
- Build a fundraising page on JustGiving, our crowdfunding platform

Matching Gifts
Many companies offer a matching gift program to encourage philanthropy amongst their employees and even spousal or retiree giving. See if your employer participates in a matching gift program so you can double the impact of your gift. If you do not find your employer on the list, please check with your Human Resources department to see if your company offers a matching gift program.
Donor-Advised Fund
A donor-advised fund is an investment account for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations you care about. When you contribute cash, securities, or other assets to a donor-advised fund at a public charity, you are generally eligible to take an immediate tax deduction. Those funds can be invested for tax-free growth, and you can recommend grants to most IRS-qualified public charities.

Required Minimum Distributions
The IRS requires that individuals 73 years or older must take a distribution from their retirement accounts or pay a 50% tax on the funds not withdrawn. This distribution is considered income and is taxed at the prevailing rate.
Support the life-enhancing work of The Asia Foundation while reducing your tax burden. You can make a gift with all or a portion of your required minimum distribution. The full amount of your philanthropic giving is tax-free, up to $100,000.
Many of our supporters have taken advantage of this method of reducing their tax exposure and expanding opportunities for people in Asia and the Pacific. Please consider making a gift from your 401(k) or 403(b).
