Amala Rahmah

Deputy Country Representative, Indonesia

Amala Rahmah serves as deputy country representative in Indonesia. She is responsible for supporting management aspects of The Asia Foundation, including program design, implementation, M&E and reporting, and oversight of financial and grant management, administration, security, and human resources. Prior to her work at the Foundation, she served for more than 18 years in various senior and leadership positions at international nongovernment organizations (NGOs) and bilateral partnerships, working with donors on the issue of sexual gender-based violence and sexual reproductive health and rights, child and adolescent health, human rights and inclusive education, literacy, comprehensive sexuality education, child-friendly schools and cities.

Master's degree in Education Management from the Jakarta State University, specializing in education development programs, especially for students with disabilities, and a bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the University of Indonesia.
