Anne Hingeley 

Anne Hingeley is chief, government relations and Washington director at The Asia Foundation. 

She began her career in 1993 and most recently served as staff director of congressional outreach at the American Academy of Diplomacy, where she focused on strengthening the professional capacity of the Foreign Service. From 2003 to 2024, she was chief of congressional relations and engagement at the U.S. Institute of Peace, leading congressional strategy and engagement. She advised leadership and staff across USIP and built strong relationships with congressional offices, committees, and caucuses. Her earlier work includes national grassroots engagement and advising international clients on U.S. foreign assistance and policy processes.

Hingeley holds a B.A. in international studies from American University in Washington, D.C.
