Chaithri Ranatunge

Senior Program Manager, Sri Lanka

Chaithri Ranatunge joined The Asia Foundation in 2013 and has worked with the Mental Health and Psychosocial Program and managed projects on combating human trafficking. As a Senior Program Manager of the Gender and Justice team, she overlooked TAF’s mediation projects and is currently working on research related to women’s participation in the gig economy.   

She has more than fifteen years of experience working in the development sector in Sri Lanka, contributing to the nongovernmental, government, and private sectors. Prior to joining TAF, she worked at MAS Holdings, implementing Eco Go Beyond, the organization’s community social responsibility initiative. She has contributed to academic research and the revision of the Department of Social Studies undergraduate curriculum at the Open University of Sri Lanka. 

She holds a master’s degree in development studies from the University of Colombo.
