Cheng-Ling Chen is an angel investor, advisor, and creative writer. Cheng-Ling advises women-led startups and nonprofits that bring capital and opportunity to under-served, under-noticed communities. Growing up Taiwanese in South America, Cheng-Ling is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, and Taiwanese. She is passionate about multilingual education and has served on the Board at Presidio Knolls School, a Mandarin immersion K-8 school, as well as on the Board of APA Family Support Services, a nonprofit that provides support services to AAPI families. Cheng-Ling believes in lifting women up so the work they do for their communities can be seen in the light. She created HERliograph.com, which profiles everyday heroines, showcasing their talents and fostering connections between women.

Cheng-Ling has experience as a cross-border corporate attorney. Her legal practice began in California and has taken her to several parts of China, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. In addition to her transactional practice, Cheng-Ling has served as a pro bono advocate for immigrant women and children under the Violence Against Women Act.

Cheng-Ling is a graduate of Brown University. She holds a JD from UC Berkeley and an MFA from the University of San Francisco. She lives in Silicon Valley with her husband and sons.
