
Jenny Choi-Fitzpatrick
Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Jenny Choi-Fitzpatrick is vice president and chief operating officer for The Asia Foundation and is responsible for the overall operational leadership of the organization.
Jenny is an experienced leader, seasoned operator, and international development practitioner. Jenny’s leadership has spanned programmatic and operational roles at project, country, regional, and organizational levels. Before joining The Asia Foundation, she was the chief operating officer of Evidence Action, an organization that specializes in scaling evidence-based and cost-effective health interventions in Africa and Asia. In her role, Jenny oversaw people and culture, finance, grants and contracts, legal and compliance, IT, and operations. She also led strategic and change initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency, risk management, geographic expansion, and leadership development.
Prior to this, Jenny was senior director, Africa for Global Communities, overseeing international operations, program management, and implementation of a $200 million program portfolio in Africa. Jenny also served as a country director and chief of party in Tanzania, director of operations in Bangladesh, and director of program quality for Project Concern International. Jenny was a practitioner in residence and faculty member at the School of Public Policy at Central European University, where she taught skills-based courses and launched an applied policy capstone program for international public policy students. Jenny is also a member of the Council of Korean Americans.
Jenny received her bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in International Administration from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver.
