Kamal Bista works with The Asia Foundation in Nepal as director of finance and grants and is a member of the Nepal office’s senior leadership team. He has more than 10 years of experience in accountancy, finance, and auditing. He leads the six-person finance/grant unit and is responsible for preparing and monitoring operating and program budgets, payroll administration, grants administration, taxation matters, audit coordination, donor reporting, and internal and external compliance. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2015, Kamal worked with private sector audit firms, which provided him the opportunity to expand his professional experience in auditing diverse sectors.
Education: Kamal Bista is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK) and holds a bachelor’s degree in business studies from Tribhuvan University.
