Vice President, Enterprise Finance, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.
Marlene Pelage joined the President’s Leadership Council at the Asia Foundation in June 2016.
She is vice president of Enterprise Finance at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. (Member SIPC), assisting support organizations and Schwab Client Solutions, a division that combines fixed income solutions, trading platforms, the Schwab Center for Financial Research, cash and margin lending strategy and advice solutions.
Previously, Pelage completed three years as chief of staff and head of strategy in Client Solutions and six years in the Risk and Credit Management group, where she managed the company’s structured products investment portfolio. She has also been a key thought leader for the International Services team, helping to establish roadmaps with options for entry to China, as well as building relationships with regulators, educators and potential partners. She also helped drive the successful launch of the social media platform at Schwab.
Prior to Schwab, Pelage spent 11 years in project finance and equity derivatives at Crédit Agricole Bank with postings in Paris, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and London.
Pelage served on the Board of Trustees of the Museum of the African Diaspora and more recently on the Board of the Branson School, an independent high school in Ross, California. She has also been a life-long advocate for “mainstreaming” children with special needs and has worked with the National Institutes of Health, various medical centers and educational facilities on both coasts.
Pelage holds a joint MBA degree in Finance and Marketing from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris and Drexel University, a CFA (Certified Financial Analyst) accreditation, and a Series 7 registration.
