Missie Rennie Taylor served on The Asia Foundation’s Board of Trustees from 1999 to 2015, being appointed Trustee Emerita in 2015. She was Vice Chair of the board from 2008. A seasoned media professional, Missie has spent 30 years in television news, primarily at CBS as executive producer of CBS News Sunday Morning and CBS Weekend News. She covered major events like political conventions, the first Gulf War, and D-Day anniversaries, earning eight Emmys and a George Foster Peabody Award.
Post-CBS, Missie became VP of ThirdAge Media, a CBS-backed Internet company. She has also worked with ABC News and Public Television and was a Luce Fellow in the Philippines.
In addition to her media career, Missie serves on various boards, including Vassar College, Teachers College, and the USTA Foundation, and is co-chair of Vassar College’s Capital Campaign.
