
Nadya Subramaniam
Director, Future Skills
Nadya Subramaniam is The Asia Foundation’s director of Future Skills Alliance, a collective impact model for digital and future skilling to improve access for women and underserved communities to the digital economy across Asia. In this role, she provides technical leadership across the foundation’s regional digital skilling initiatives, including leading the curriculum and academic engagement pillars within the APAC Cybersecurity Fund and its clinics.
She previously served as the deputy country representative in Malaysia, providing strategic leadership and oversight across a range of programs and ensuring operational excellence across the office. She has worked on a wide range of projects including the Malaysia and Thailand Reform Partnership, an adaptive policy reform initiative, where she provided input on technical and vocational education and training (TVET) policy in Malaysia. She also contributed her expertise in skills education by leading the ASEAN Green Jobs Forum 2024.
Nadya served as a member of the Malaysia’s National TVET Council from 2021 to 2022 and currently sits on the Council of Experts of the Government and Industry TVET Coordination Body. Prior to joining The Asia Foundation, she worked on driving school transformation through professional development for school leaders in Perlis, Malaysia’s smallest state.
