Radhika Abeynaike

Director, Strategy and Learning, Sri Lanka

Radhika Abeynaike is the director, strategy and learning, in The Asia Foundation’s Sri Lanka office. Since joining the foundation in 2007, she has held several roles, including acting deputy country representative, and contributed to programs focused on governance, security and justice, civil society strengthening, and programming in the Maldives. Radhika helps manage overall program strategy, development, and performance for Sri Lanka and the Maldives, while also supporting strategic partnerships, donor relations, and fundraising efforts.  

In 2019, she established the MERL unit in Sri Lanka, leading initiatives to improve evidence use, foster cross-program learning, and build capacity among staff and partners in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. She also contributes to key operational functions and oversees the office’s communications portfolio, guiding strategies and content to highlight program outcomes and enhance visibility. 

Before joining the foundation, Radhika worked with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Sri Lanka Evaluation Association, supporting strategic initiatives, research, and communications. 

She holds a master’s degree in Development Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Hons.) from the University of Colombo.
