Head of Global Transaction Banking, MUFG



Ranjana Clark is a global banking leader with more than 25 years of executive experience and deep knowledge of the financial services industry. She is the head of Global Transaction Banking responsible for managing strategy, sales, client delivery/service, product development, and risk management across the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Clark also serves as executive officer for MUFG Bank, Ltd.

Based in San Francisco, Ranjana Clark has held multiple concurrent positions at MUFG that leverage her diverse experience in fintech, digital innovation, and business transformation. She served as the head of Transaction Banking for MUFG Americas Holdings Corporation and its primary subsidiary, MUFG Union Bank, N.A. before expanding her responsibilities in 2019 with her existing role. Clark also was Bay Area President for MUFG and Union Bank. She recently served as chief transformation officer.

Prior to joining MUFG in 2013, Clark was the first executive to serve as chief Customer and Marketing officer at PayPal. She also was the president of Global Business Payments and head of Global Strategy at The Western Union Company.

Education: She earned a master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, a master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delhi.
