Roshan Shajehan

Roshan Shajehan currently serves as the Senior Program Manager at The Asia Foundation, overseeing TAF’s program portfolio in the Maldives. With over two decades of experience in the fields of international development, program management, community research, and capacity building, Roshan brings extensive expertise in designing, coordinating, and implementing development initiatives across diverse contexts. 

Prior to joining TAF, he has served as the senior program coordinator for the Better Vision, Healthy Ageing Program of the PALM Foundation, a legal officer at the National Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka, where he contributed to advancing human rights protection and legal reform initiatives, and held key positions with the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society and Oxfam GB, contributing to humanitarian and development efforts during the period of conflict and post-tsunami recovery.  

He is an Attorney-at-Law and holds a Bachelor of Laws and a master’s degree in human rights from the University of Colombo.
