Terith Chy

Team Leader, CAPRED-Insight

Terith Chy has rejoined The Asia Foundation as Team Leader for the CAPRED-Insight project. He brings over 15 years of experience in governance, civil society development, and monitoring and evaluation. Before returning to the Foundation, Terith served as Project Management Specialist at USAID, where he managed a governance portfolio valued at nearly $20 million. His previous roles include Director of Programs at The Asia Foundation (2016–2018), Senior Researcher at the Parliamentary Institute of Cambodia, and Project Manager at the Documentation Center of Cambodia.

A recipient of the 2015 Asia Foundation Development Fellowship and the Draper Hills Fellowship on Democracy and Development at Stanford University, Terith holds an M.A. in Criminology from the University of Hull, an LL.M. in International Human Rights Law from the University of Hong Kong, and an LL.B. from the Royal University of Law and Economics. 

His expertise spans human rights, legal research, public policy, and development programming, with a proven track record in managing complex grants and contracts,  and fostering collaboration among donors, civil society, and government partners.
