Assessment of Existing Trafficking in Persons Data Collection and Reporting Mechanisms of the National Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force

This assessment was initiated to map trafficking-in-persons (TIP) data reported and recorded by the stakeholders of the National Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force (NAHTTF) in Sri Lanka. The assessment was carried out by The Asia Foundation’s project partner Nielsen Company Lanka Pvt. Ltd is based on key informant interviews conducted with representatives of NAHTTF member organizations. The assessment includes mapping the data routes, which illustrates how data typically flows from the original case report to the various data collection, monitoring, and prosecution entities. The findings helped guide the development of a TIP database in Sri Lanka.
