Proof for Planning: Mapping Road Investments
Accurate geospatial information is crucial for planning infrastructure investments, such as roads. In the Philippines, however, not all local governments have the resource to access reliable maps or the capacity to utilize such data.
This story traces the contribution of a Coalitions for Change project on local road infrastructure reform. By working with two key government agencies, Coalitions for Change helped local governments gain access to free and up-to-date standard maps they can use to better plan road investments—whether it is construction, repair, and rehabilitation—for the years to come.
