DOWNLOAD

As part of The Asia Foundation’s commitment to supporting sustainable development in Malaysia, with funding from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Foundation has undertaken a project to support the growth and improvement of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Malaysia. For this initiative, the Foundation partnered with the International Institute of Public Policy and Management, University of Malaya to perform a study to better understand Malaysia’s TVET landscape. The findings from this study have been arranged in alignment with the five focus areas of Malaysia’s National TVET Council: governance, industry, quality assurance, funding, and branding. Given the analysis, this report proposes six recommendations to realize the goal of creating a national TVET system that will support Malaysia’s continued growth.
