2022 Kickoff Reel: Leaders on the Frontlines

On October 19, 2022, the Chang-Lin Tien Distinguished Leadership Award was awarded to Maria Ressa and the Rappler team for their leadership in independent and fearless journalism in the Philippines. Rappler is the Philippines’ leading digital media company driven by uncompromising journalism, enabled by technology, and enriched by communities of action. Network television journalist and author Tom Brokaw also received the President’s Leadership Award for building a more open and just world through powerful, courageous, and truthful journalism.
