Asia Foundation CEO Laurel Miller to Address Global Leaders at G20 Ministerial Conference

The Asia Foundation’s President and CEO, Laurel Miller, is in Gandhinagar, India, to address the G20 Ministerial Conference on Women Empowerment from August 2-4.

Miller is a champion in addressing climate challenges and advocating for the essential role women can play as leaders. The Asia Foundation works to empower women and marginalized groups across Asia and the Pacific by increasing their political voice and leadership, improving their rights and security, and expanding opportunities for education, employment, and entrepreneurship.

Ahead of the Ministerial Conference, Miller spoke at a side event organized by the Asian Development Bank and UN Women.

Miller addressed the importance of women’s voice and leadership and the obstacles they face saying, “As champions of women-led initiatives, we know that, for centuries, women have played and continue to play a fundamental role as caretakers of our planet and its resources.”
