Capacity Enhancement Training for Regional Partners in Nepal
In Nepal, the South Asia Grants Program (SAGP) conducted a capacity-building workshop for its implementing partners from Nepal and Bhutan. Capacity building is a key component of the regional program, along with strengthening civic networks in the South Asia region.
The program supports initiatives around increasing public sector accountability and transparency, strengthening the rule of law, promoting civil society participation and media, and strengthening democratic institutions and practices. It also supports partners in program management, project performance management, and organizational management and sustainability.
To design the workshop, SAGP conducted an organizational capacity assessment (OCA) evaluating all areas of the initiatives to assess the areas where partners required support.
Informed by the OCA, the two-day event included sessions that explored the multifaceted impacts of corruption and the range of anticorruption tools. In program management, the sessions focused on comprehensive proposal writing, proficient fund-raising strategies, and donor mapping. The event also included an advanced MERL training that helped fortify the participants’ knowledge and equip them with more comprehension of impact and results reporting intricacies.
