Covid-19 & The New Normal for Women in the Economy in South Asia
The Asia Foundation’s Covid-19 & The New Normal for Women in the Economy in South Asia report assesses the Covid-19 pandemic’s socioeconomic impact on women. The regional research includes country-specific reports giving granular insights on the disproportionate impact on women, which contribute to the South Asia region-wide report that presents common impacts on women across South Asia and policy recommendations to enhance government responses to strengthen support for women working in the informal economy and in the services sector. The research aims to provide policy makers and development partners in South Asian countries a better understanding of possible social protection and access to skills and finance targeting vulnerable women workers.
