Standing in Solidarity – A Message from our President and Chair of the Board

All of us at The Asia Foundation are united in our determination to reject, combat, and overcome discrimination in all its forms.  In the wake of continuing incidents of violence against the Asian American and Pacific Islander community in the U.S., and a growing climate of racism and prejudice, we are renewing our commitments to counter violence, and to work towards establishing the building blocks to create mutual understanding in communities.

Attacks on people of Asian descent represents a real and tangible threat to members of The Asia Foundation community — cherished colleagues, friends, families, and associates who have devoted their lives to upholding the values and advancing the mission of the Foundation.  We stand in solidarity with the victims, survivors, communities and families who have suffered loss and pain.

As an organization dedicated to improving lives and expanding opportunities for people throughout Asia and the Pacific, the Foundation remains committed to fostering peace, stability, and prosperity, and fighting for societies free from injustice and hate.
