Strengthening Literacy: Let’s Read Bangladesh Hosts Capacity Building Training for Local Partners
From May 31 to June 1, The Asia Foundation’s Let’s Read team in Bangladesh organized a Capacity-Building Training session for its partner organizations. The event, held in collaboration with Light of Hope Ltd. and Ghashful for our Reading Champions Alliance project, aimed to enhance the skills and capabilities of local partners in promoting literacy and education.
The facilitators, Nandini Shahla Chowdhury, Md. Mofaq Khairul Islam (Taufiq), Tanim Ahmed, and Nafees Maharuf Shafakat engaged the participants in workshops and interactive sessions to strengthen their organizational and operational competencies.
The training focused on the basics of digital and traditional communication and its strategies, effective program implementation, community engagement, proposal writing, and innovative fundraising strategies to foster a reading culture among children in Bangladesh. Organizational members from Volunteer Opportunities, Reflective Teens—RT, Tinkers Technologies Limited, SURGE Bangladesh, Light of Hope, and Ghashful were in attendance.
The collaboration of Let’s Read Bangladesh with Light of Hope Ltd. and Ghashful reflects a shared commitment to empowering communities through education and literacy, ensuring a brighter future for the nation’s youth.
