The Asia Foundation and the Australian National University’s Development Policy Centre host Special Speaker Series

Amid growing stay-at-home orders and border closures, The Asia Foundation and the Australian National University’s Development Policy Centre will replace the 2022 Australian AID Conference (AAC) with a special speaker series.

From February to June 2022, this series will be conducted monthly and incorporate discussions from key speakers from the Australasian AID Conference including Professor Eun Mee Kim of Ewha Womans University, Donald Kaberuka, co-chair of the United Nations Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel on Internal Displacement, and Doctor Lant Pritchett, research director for Research on Improving Systems of Education.

Kicking off the speaker series on February 8, 2022, Dr. Kim (recipient of The Asia Foundation’s 2021 Chang-Lin Tien Distinguished Leadership Award) will host the seminar The Fourth Industrial Revolution, Covid-19, and Women. As Covid-19 continues to transform lives, Kim will reflect on these profound changes, including her own experiences, and offer suggestions for preventing future inequalities.

Register for Dr. Kim’s The Fourth Industrial Revolution, Covid-19, and women seminar.

An announcement of the topics for Donald Kaberuka’s and Lant Pritchett’s seminars will be forthcoming.
