The Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Inequalities in Asian Cities: Focus on Female Bangle-makers in Hyderabad, Pakistan
The Asia Foundation, in partnership with Kore Global, led an eight-city qualitative research project to explore the multidimensional impacts of Covid-19 on marginalized groups across five Asian countries. Each of these country reports focused on the experiences of a particular group of urban residents. These included:
- Female bangle-makers in Hyderabad, Pakistan
- Working mothers with school-age children in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
- Female micro-business owners in Khulna City, Bangladesh
- Ethnic-minority migrant workers in Hanoi, Vietnam
- Recently unemployed workers in the tourism sector in Luang Prabang, Pakse, Vang Vieng and Vientiane, Lao PDR
