Thailand’s Online Education Portal Supports Individualized Learning

The Asia Foundation Thailand Office worked with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Australian Embassy to create a one-stop service portal called www.thailandlearning.org to offer students, teachers, and parents during the pandemic. Given that schools are closed, and learning moved to online spaces, the portal brought together existing online materials from around the world in one place–convenient for teachers, students, and parents to engage online. Inspired by the philosophy of personalized learning, the portal is designed to be flexible and engaging for all types of learning preferences. Students can choose between education by reading, writing, listening, watching, or gaming.

The portal was presented to the Office of Basic Education Board, endorsed by the Ministry of Education, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and regularly used by 12,000 students nationwide.
