The Asia Foundation Advocates for Collaborative Approach Ahead of 2025 APEC in Korea
Dr. Kyungjin SONG, country representative for The Asia Foundation in Korea, participated in the Global Forum on APEC 2025 Korea: Theme and Priorities event on September 30 as a panel speaker. The event was held to prioritize the agenda for APEC Summit 2025 in Korea.
Dr. Song spoke at the sustainable and inclusive growth session, highlighting:
- The strong partnership between The Asia Foundation and APEC since the latter’s establishment in 1989, especially in innovation and digitalization, and sustainable and inclusive growth.
- Calls for strengthened cooperation between The Asia Foundation and APEC on climate change, energy transition, and cybersecurity for MSMEs.
- A joint publication proposal to promote APEC 2025 themes.
The Asia Foundation looks forward to further strengthening partnerships with APEC and other key players on issues of common concern in Asia and the Pacific.
