The Asian Age Spotlights Foundation’s Work on Religious Freedom in Bangladesh
The Asian Age, an English-language daily newspaper based in Bangladesh, features coverage of the Foundation’s “Building Religious Peace and Harmony” workshop on January 27 in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. The event was attended by the Mayor of Rajshahi City, as well as community, religious and cultural leaders.
Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton on Monday said the present Bangladesh has set a bright instance of religious harmony in the world.
He said people of all faiths are now living in the country with peace and tranquility as the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is pledged bound to establish religious harmony everywhere in the society. Liton made this observation while addressing a sharing workshop on building religious peace harmony hosted by the Asia Foundation at a restaurant in the city as the chief guest, reports BSS.
