Harry Harding served on The Asia Foundation’s Board of Trustees between 1992 and 2014.
Harding is a professor of Public Policy at the University of Virginia’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, and was formerly Dean of the school. Previously, he was dean of the Elliott School of International Affairs and professor of international affairs and political science at George Washington University. Dean Harding is a member of the board of directors of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and the Atlantic Council, a member of the Board of Governors of the Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and a member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the Finnish Institute of International Affairs. He has served as a member of the U.S.-PRC Joint Commission on Scientific and Technological Cooperation, the Defense Policy Board, and as the president of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs. He is recognized as one of America’s pre-eminent China scholars.
